SEO and Marketing Associate (Remote/Contract)

The SEO and Marketing Associate (Contract) is responsible for increasing traffic to the website, SEO, and help create engaging, strategic, and effective marketing content and strategies supported by data that targets our primary buyer types across multiple digital channels (i.e., web content, mobile, email, SEM, and SEO). You will manage activities such as keyword strategy, on-page SEO, technical SEO, and content strategy. Working alongside sales, product and social, the SEO Specialist/Marketing Associate must be a collaborative and passionate problem solver focused on identifying and creating strategies that will harness the attention of advisors. You will be equipped with modern SEO tools and strategies that will make you effective and efficient.


  • Responsible for SEO audit, strategy and optimization of Girlgaze channels

  • Perform keyword research

  • Optimize copy and landing pages

  • Execute back-end SEO such as schema, sitemaps, crawlability, etc.

  • Partner closely with customer-facing teams to align marketing strategy with acquisition/retention initiatives

  • Run email campaigns through our CRM

  • Rigorously test, analyze, and optimize marketing content performance

  • Own funnel analytics and reporting for web experiences targeted at primary buyer types

  • Ensure online marketing channels are in alignment with our brand narrative and voice

  • Work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment


  • Bachelors degree

  • 2+ years' SEO and marketing experience (design experience a plus)

  • Proficient with WordPress

  • Experienced with Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc. (whatever else needed; ie React)

  • Passionate about SEO and proactively embrace mission-driven initiatives

  • Understanding of web analytics, SEO, A/B testing, tagging, and content management

  • Strong communication, writing, and project management skills

  • Experience with demand generation tools in a B2B environment is preferred

  • Possesses a positive attitude, good sense of humor, and the ability to be empathetic towards the needs of customers and prospects
