Director/Manager of Operations (Remote)

Girlgaze is looking for a Director/Manager of Operations to work closely with our COO and partner with our senior team across the organization. This is a key role for Girlgaze and this individual will have an impact on the innovation, efficiency and productivity of Girlgaze by helping define key business priorities and translating them into comprehensive plans. You will report directly to our COO and have the opportunity to work on various projects, strategic business initiatives, and have key input across the board in the growth of Girlgaze.  We are looking for an ambitious, organized and analytical individual who loves to work in a fast paced environment.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design, document, and implement internal processes and workflows that improve Girlgaze’s communication, decision-making, and execution across the organization, and help refine Girlgaze’s operational procedures.

  • Facilitate new process rollouts, identify operational challenges, and compile feedback from stakeholder teams to drive tangible improvements in business processes.

  • Assist the COO with strategic priorities including budgets, internal and external communications, and other strategic and operational projects, and gather, prioritize and structure critical information for our leadership team to facilitate effective decision making.

  • Oversee business initiatives from development through execution under the guidance of team leaders, as well as oversee recruiting, personnel and onboarding processes, as well as vendor management in coordination with accounting/finance.

  • Be responsible for customer experience and work to build our customer support processes and team.

  • Responsible for strategic project management at the highest level, overseeing cross-functional, organization-wide projects and bringing together important stakeholders to help drive decisions.

  • Conduct open-ended research, synthesize expansive information, and present actionable insights to company leadership.

  • Lead overseeing project management of OKRs, working with leaders across the company to set, align, and track company goals, and ensure that operational priorities are linked to planning and execution, and provide frequent visibility to COO regarding progress.

  • Work with COO to prepare for and facilitate executive meetings and all hands, create agendas and ensure follow-up on action items, and assist with preparation of board and investor pitch decks and board relations.

What you need and who you are:

  • Prior experience and demonstrated success in an operations, strategy, project management and/or chief of staff type role, preferably at a fast-growing company (startup (preferably technical) experience a plus).

  • Demonstrated ability to drive business insights and operational improvement in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

  • Experience delivering compelling presentations and running efficient and productive meetings.

  • Incredibly organized with an innate attention to detail with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; analytical with the ability to think strategically and creatively.

  • Experience with project management tools such as Trello, as well as G Suite (Google Sheets, Slides, etc.) and other business tools and software; confidence in modeling business scenarios, spreadsheets and creating presentations.

  • You must be a self-starter, motivated by continuously solving hard problems with minimal supervision; ability to think on your feet.

  • You are excited and passionate about Girlgaze’s mission, and excited about joining a small team and growing with us.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree and are eligible to work in the United States


Title and salary commensurate with experience.  Please note that Girlgaze is a fully remote company so this job will require comfort working remotely.  Access to a computer will be required.
